Ind vs Pak 3rd Test Day 5 Highlights

Indian captain Anil Kumble showed there was no substitute for Test cricket when he took his team towards victory in the third and final Test against Pakistan. The leg-spinner bagged his 34th five-wicket haul in the last session as bad light forced a draw at the Chinnaswami Stadium on Wednesday. Set a target of 374, Pakistan limped to 162-7 in 36 overs in their second innings as Kumble did most of the damage to the delight of his home crowd.

Former India captains Sourav Ganguly and Rahul Dravid squashed Pakistan hopes with a 105-run third wicket stand after the fall of the two openers early, to take their team to 131-2 in their second innings at stumps on the penultimate day of the third and final Test at Chinnaswami Stadium on Tuesday. The hosts are 220 runs ahead with eight wickets remaining.

England played well for most part of the day but Sri Lanka pulled things back in the last session. Cook was playing so well but got a shocking decision. Pietersen will consider himself unlucky too and Bopara got a jaffer first up and there was nothing much he could do about that. But Sri Lanka would feel they have done well to pick up 5 wickets after England dominated for the first two sessions. They will look to wrap up things quickly tomorrow.

Wasim Jaffer's bat sparkled brightest on a day of total dominance for India's batsmen, as they ground Pakistan into the Kolkata dust on the opening day of the second Test at Eden Gardens. Jaffer was undefeated on 192 when bad light ended play six overs early, but his fifth hundred was his most joyous yet. With support from Rahul Dravid and Sachin Tendulkar, he took India to 352 for 3.
